Frank Kelvin Ciri Torres

Frank Kelvin Ciri Torres is a very handsome boy.  He is 12 yrs old, and was born September 24^th, 1998.  Frank Kelvin is the oldest boy in the club, and is in grade 3.  He fell behind in his studies when his grandmother wasn’t strict enough in regards to his attendance at school.  He goes to school in the afternoons for 3 hours and is now attending regularly.

Frank Kelvin lives a very non traditional lifestyle.  He lives with his 10 yr old sister, Lisaury.  They were living with their father in their grandmother’s house.  During that time they were not attending school regularly.  When Frank Kelvin’s father moved his girlfriend into their grandmothers house the children were asked to live across the street at their aunt Berenisse’s house.  The girlfriend did not want to raise the children.  Since then they have been attending school regularly.  Berenisse has 2 children of her own.

Berenisse has also offered to teach a sewing class to our mothers at the Centre as her job is a seamstress.

Berenisse describes Frank Kelvin as being energetic and a good helper.  He was helping to raise other children in his grandmothers house.  When I asked Frank Kelvin if he would be interested in being one of our junior leaders at the Centre, his face lit up.

Frank Kelvin wants to be a doctor when he grows up.
